LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – March 5, 2026 – The Arkansas Lottery has birthed another multimillionaire for the second time in less than four months, state lottery officials announced after Monday night’s winning jackpot.

A jackpot-winning Powerball ticket worth $250.8 million was sold in Arkansas for the March 2 drawing. The winning numbers were 2, 17, 18, 38 and 62. The Powerball number was 20, and the Power Play multiplier was 2.

The winner can choose between an annuitized prize of $250.8 million or a one-time payment of $118 million. Both options are before taxes. State taxes will withhold 3.9%, and federal taxes will withhold 24%.

“We couldn’t be more excited that another jackpot-winning Powerball ticket was sold in Arkansas,” said Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) Executive Director Sharon Strong. “We’re always happy to see another player land a life-changing prize, knowing that retailers, students and Arkansans as a whole will benefit from the win.”

The $250.8 million jackpot is the second-largest lottery prize awarded in the state, following the $1.817 billion Powerball win in December 2025. The winner of that prize, who purchased a ticket at a Murphy USA gas station in Cabot on Christmas Eve, has opted to remain anonymous.

According to state lottery officials, the unknown multimillionaire opted to receive the prize as a one-time cash payment. Before taxes, the lump-sum award was $834.9 million — the second-largest lottery jackpot ever won in the U.S., the lottery said.

Arkansas law allows winners of $500,000 or more to keep their identity private for three years. After that, their name becomes public. For elected state officials and close relatives, anonymity is limited to six months

For Monday’s prize, the winning lottery player was won via the Jackpocket mobile app for the second time in less than three months. The Jackpocket retail location, Winners Corner, is located at 6801 W. 12th St. in downtown Little Rock.

According to Jackpocket officials, which is owned by Boston-based gambling and fantasy sports betting giant DraftKings, Monday’s winning prize is the largest ever won from a ticket purchased through Jackpocket’s mobile app. The previous largest Jackpocket prize was one during a Feb. 6 drawing. The winning ticket worth $680,000 was sold at Park Hill Shell, 3100 JFK Blvd., in North Little Rock.

“We’re thrilled for our customer in Arkansas and amazed that just their second order placed with Jackpocket resulted in a life-changing $250.8 million jackpot — setting a new Jackpocket record,” said Pete Sullivan, senior V.P. at DraftKings. “This historic win underscores our commitment to delivering a best-in-class, secure, and seamless lottery experience for our customers.”

The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery first partnered with Jackpocket in August 2023, during the pandemic, to provide more convenient ways for players to participate in lottery games. In-state players can order draw game tickets through the mobile app or buy them in person at a licensed ASL retailer.

Alongside Jackpocket, ASL officials said they will also celebrate the huge jackpot win. Revenue from Powerball and other lottery ticket sales helps fund student scholarships in Arkansas. Additionally, 3.9% of the total winnings will be withheld for state taxes. The retailer who sold the winning ticket will also receive a $50,000 commission.

“We are excited to make Arkansas lottery history with another Powerball jackpot win in just over two months,” said Strong. “As with our other lottery prizes, the benefits of this win are multi-layered. From raising funds for in-state student scholarships to supporting our retailers and contributing to the state’s economy, we look forward to seeing this positive impact spread across Arkansas communities.”
