LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Oct. 23, 2025) – City Year Little Rock is expanding its mission to help all Central Arkansas students achieve their full potential with the help of a new senior vice president and executive director. Jeremy Hill, who previously served as the nonprofit’s chief of staff, is the first Black leader to hold the role in the nonprofit’s more than 20-year history.
“In the face of unique challenges, City Year Little Rock has remained steadfast in its commitment to serving the Central Arkansas community,” said Hill. “Today, our purpose and passion for helping all children thrive is stronger than ever. It’s an honor and a privilege to lead City Year Little Rock into this next chapter.”
Before he was appointed senior vice president and executive director, Hill helped oversee and manage City Year Little Rock’s operations as chief of staff. He also served as director of impact, collaborating directly with City Year, Inc. to build local capacity and improve students’ and AmeriCorps members’ experiences. Throughout his career, he has held leadership roles in the education and nonprofit sectors, including in development at the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute and as a literacy and student life director for a public middle school. A graduate of Georgia Southern University, he holds an executive certificate in faith leadership from Belmont University and has completed several leadership fellowships. He is a graduate of Leadership Greater Little Rock Class XXXVIII.
City Year currently has more than 30 AmeriCorps members serving in the Little Rock School District and Jacksonville North Pulaski School District. These 17-to 25-year-olds provide individual tutoring, small-group instruction and after-school programming, focusing on kindergarten through eighth-grade students.
